Old Manila. 1 of piles of homework.

You can’t really spend a lot of time on one piece because in my school, you have to do all the homework simultaneously to manage your time and at least have everything to a certain level of finish. Cramming don’t work here lol

It’s Valentines Day, so let’s have a bit of…red. Haha. So random. Lol.

I was just itching to do something fashion-related because I’ve been drawing construction vehicles and airplanes for the past few days!

Gothic cathedral studies. These were my Perspective pre-final. 

These sketches mean a lot to me and I just wanted to share them because it was during drawing these that I got that “click” wherein I suddenly saw the perspective grid in everything. And I realized that everything’s the same! Drawing a cathedral is the same as drawing a car or a ship or whatever. Everything is just…shapes, masses, forms with varying proportions and details on top. Wow. And then I wasn’t scared anymore. My teacher would always tell us, “Anything drawn well in perspective will always look good.” That really gave me confidence when I had nothing at the start but this overwhelming fear of drawing a cathedral from scratch. Haha.

Anyway, back to work! With that, I prolly won’t go online till god knows when. So much to draw, so little time!!! :O 

I just post when I feel like I have to let you guys know I’m alive. Hehe. I’m hardly online anymore these days. I need to spend every waking moment drawing/painting! :O

And the girls this time! 

Same as previous. Pilot G-Tec 0.4. About 2.5 hours. Girls take longer to draw, Most of these aren’t even accurate. Haha. It’s okay, that means moooore practice! 

Old stuff. Drew these upon landing back in Singapore last month. Part of the homework was 5 pages of Human Anatomy. I thought I’d do some heads because it’s what I love the most.

How does this blog still have followers? I haven’t posted in like a month! Haha! 

Posted something a while ago though. But don’t expect frequent posts. Sorry. So much to do for school and for myself. I will draw till I die, you know. I’m so scared. I don’t know how I’m gonna reach the pro level. Only thing I can do is lessen sleeping hours, pray and hang on to the belief that if I just work hard and put in a lot of hours…magic will happen. @_@ 

My homework as a shoutout to my country.

Shhh I normally do not post homework stuff because I’m dead and I hardly sleep anymore and there’s no time for anything except to work hard and draw better, but I really wanna share this becaaauuuse… Well being away from my country and all, I actually miss the Philippines, so for my creature design in Production Sketching class, I attached a ‘kalesa’ type carriage to my creature! Yeah, nationalism ftw. (Sounds funny though ‘cause I’m Chinese but the Philippines is my home. Haha)

Btw, my creature is a husky-horse-lion combo. Haha. I dunno, I really wanted to go for a friendly, loyal and reliable animal design as opposed to a vicious one, hence the canine face and the horse functionality. The lion thing is just a twist for majestic flavor. Haha! K bye!

Me and a few other classmates got our work featured in the school’s website. 

I know I should be happy but to be honest, I don’t feel anything and it’s not a big deal to me because everyday I still feel like I’m not good enough and might never be good enough. Actually, I know the cause of it. I just really miss home. I know myself well enough that every time there’s a major change in my life, I go through this weird adjustment period. Always. Right now it’s just hard to not have a family member physically present to talk to about school pressure and stuff, so keeping all of that in creates so much negativity in my mental state that my fear of failure is exponentially increased and I can’t help it. :(

Holy crap. I fell asleep doing Design homework, then dreamed I was in a forest inside a perspective grid. But it was so real so I walked around in the forest. And when I woke up I was lying down on the couch.

I know I’m narcoleptic to a certain degree, but sleepwalking?! This has never happened before! 

 It’s just the right amount of “have” to help you make the most out of your life. And it’s just the right amount of “have-not” to ground you as a proper, decent human being.

Another one. I did 7 pages of animals in all, but can’t be bothered to scan all; just posting my faves. Btw, I’ve always known about wombats, but I didn’t realize until drawing them that they are seriously the cutest shit in the world. I swear, if you’re feeling down, just type wombat in Google images.
